While working with PuTTY to SSH to Unix/Linux servers you might get error Putty Fatal Error : Couldn't agree a key exchange algorithm. Sometime this error can be specific to some servers while for other servers ssh works perfectly fine. In this blog we will see how to fix this issue.
For SSH to work there must be a common key exchange algorithm available between Server and PuTTY. In case a common key exchange algorithm is unavailable we will get this error. Usually this happens when connecting to latest version of OS using old version of PuTTY. To fix this replace your PuTTY with latest version and try to connect.
